Carien & Gawie are not “photo-people” (according to them) and they were very nervous about their wedding photo-session. So I suggested a pre-wedding session in order for us to go through the process and for them to get comfortable & understand what to expect on their big day. I have found that Carien & Gawie are not the only couple that feel like this. Most couples do not know what it feels like to be in front of the camera for an extended period of time and/or what to do in front of the camera. I find that the pre-wedding / engagement shoot solves this problem about every-time. Here is a few shots of their pre-wedding shoot…

Gert & Rizta | Wedding @ Monte Bello Estate part 2

Finally it’s here, my apologies to Gert, Rizta & their families for having to wait so long. I loved this wedding so much that I overdid it a bit on the shooting side, causing long hours behind the computer to edit about 900 images. Gert & Rizta was a lovely, fun & energetic couple to work with and I hope it shows. Part 1 showed getting ready. Gert used their wedding venue, Monte Bello Estate while Rizta opted for the stunning Liedjiesbos guesthouse in Bloemfontein. Here are some pictures of the ceremony and the reception. The inspiration came from “the pretty blog” and Michael from Monte Bello Estate did a fantastic job!

Elizna & Johan | wedding @ Emoya Estate – part 2

I love black & white – Elizna & Johan is one of those young sweet, gentle & loving couples. While Johan was getting ready at Emoya Estate, Elizna was preparing herself at her parents home. I don’t think anybody knew or took notice but Elizna’s flowers did not open it time for their big day, so they quickly went to Woolworths for a back-up bouquet. I just loved Elizna’s attitude about the whole issue – while some brides/couples get wrapped up in all the commotion of what should happen when & how things should be presented, Elizna just sat back and enjoyed every minute of the day. Part 1 featured some shots of them getting ready and the ceremony that took place at Emoya Estate here in Bloemfontein. THis is the final part of their wedding showing some photos from their private photo session…

Michelle & Demetrios are residing in Cyprus and when they were in South Africa for a friends’ wedding, they decided to do an engagement shoot in Michelle’s home-town, Bloemfontein. We also went far an extended 3hr shoot, this is the final part of their shoot. This posting features them enjoying a picnic under african sky & at the end of the shoot we were blessed with one of Africa’s finest sunsets…
