Francois & Eloise van Zyl

I thought I would start my blog with some of our own wedding photos.
(I did not take these, but did do some editing on them)

We tied the knot at Sabi Sabi private game lodge in the shade of a big jackalberry tree. It was a small intimate wedding with only 26 guests (including the photographer & pastor). With the sound of a kudu horn instead of the wedding march, Eloise arrived on an open topped Land Rover. The ceremony was finalised with the signing of the register on the bonnet of the Land Rover as the sun was setting.

All the guests & ourselves then went on a sundowner game drive where after we all met in the middle of the bush for a bush-braai under the stars.

Did I mention that this was taking place in an unfenced big 5 area? Usually on a traditional wedding, the groom would be met by all the men when he tries to deliver his speech. In my case some hyenas rudely interrupted me, laughing as I was trying to do my thing.

After dinner, everyone gathered round the fire with a glass of sherry, and as they say in the movies…they lived happily ever after…the end.
